I started my nursing career as an LPN, then returning to school to achieve my Associate in Applied science in nursing, continuing my education by achieving my BSN, MSN, and now have completed my doctoral studies for my DNP. I love being a nurse advocate for change on topics such as workplace bullying and or violence. I have joined my state nurses association's workplace violence taskforce. I was elected by my state nursing peers to serve two terms as a nominating committee to the Board of Directors. For ANA I have earned the Professional Issues Panel Advisor badge. I feel it is very important for the more experienced nurse to serve as a mentor to our newer nurses. Newer nurses need that added support as they grow in their field. I have held nursing leadership roles such as Nursing Supervisor, Assistant Director of Nursing and Inerim Director of Nursing. At this stage in my career, I would like to provide leadership by being more involved with my nursing associations,
