Bio

I like to say that God tricked me into being a nurse.  I intended to be a foreign missionary teaching ESL, and got my Bachelor's degree in Biblical Languages and Theology.  As I was preparing to get my Master's in Education, I took a job as a PCA (nurse's aide), and ended up loving it.  My boss convinced me to let the hospital pay for my ADN, and I worked for 5 years as an Endoscopy nurse.  In an effort to advanced toward leadership, I got a Master's in Nursing Clinical Systems Management.  I was denied a management position, and eventually went into Education instead.  Now I am in school to get back to the bedside, but this time as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
