Welcome to the Faculty Community

The ANA is excited to announce a brand new members-only benefit for faculty in schools of nursing: our Faculty online community!

You have an opportunity to help us create the conversations and focus on the topics most pertinent to you. Some faculty questions we have already heard include:

  • What are the best ways to model professional behavior?
  • What are my legal obligations and liabilities as a school of nursing faculty?
  • What do students need to know about transition to practice?

Start a new discussion today or reply to your fellow faculty members today!

You will have exclusive access to our Community Manager, Kristy Chunta, PhD, RN, ACNS, BC. Dr. Chunta is an associate professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has been a nurse educator for over 10 years, teaching undergraduate senior clinical, master's, and doctoral level courses. She has taught graduate courses that focus on professional role, teaching strategies, curriculum, measurement and evaluation, simulation, teaching with technology, informatics, and research, and has served on or chaired several dissertation committees. A recipient of numerous research grants, Dr. Chunta has provided presentations at many national and international conferences and is also a published author on a variety of topics related to academia, including “Ensuring safety in clinical: Faculty role for managing students with unsafe behaviors,” published in Teaching and Learning in Nursing (2016).
