I have over 25 years of work experience. The first 23 in the airline industry, and the last 2 1/2 as a nurse. I started on a women's health/oncology unit where I learned the basics. After a year, I transitioned to sub-acute/rehab on a long term care floor of a community based hospital. I quickly realized that was not for me and decided to try my hand at hospice. I have been a hospice nurse since February of 2017 and absolutely love it. As a new graduate nurse, I struggled with confidence and wondered if I would ever get the hang of nursing. The transition from nursing school into real world practice was a dark and difficult time for me, but I managed to make it through, am passionate about helping other new graduate nurses succeed, and would be happy to support you in any way I can. I am not the most technically proficient nurse, but I am an exceptional listener and have a knack for being very supportive, so if you are looking a shoulder to cry on, a safe place to vent, or just some good old fashioned encouragement, please feel free to reach out to me.
