Bio

I am currently working as a Patient Care Coordination at Queens Medical Center in primary care. I am a young nurse who is eager to gain as many diverse clinical experiences as possible. In June of 2019 I obtained my geronotological nursing ANCC certification and can proudly call myself RN-BC. At this time my long term goal is to obtain my AGPC-DNP license and practice in an outpatient clinic setting.

My interests in nursing include adult health, gerontology, diabetic teaching, wound care, political advocacy, staff development, and professional advocacy. Over the last three years I have been working with a group of nurse leaders in Hawaii to re-establish a state nurses association as an affiliate of ANA. After years of hard work we have finally been approved and recognized by ANA as a CSNA. Our official launch will be March 2020. Now as sitting President of Hawaii - ANA I realize the large shoes I have to fill and am eager to learn strategies to be a successful and efficient board member. If you are interested in joining our leadership group I would be enthusiastic to introduce you to our group of strong, nursing leaders.

In my time outside of the profession of nursing I enjoy hiking, surfing, reading historical fiction, visiting local eat spots in Honolulu, and watching the occasional episode of HGTV.
