I am Azza Ahmed, Associate Professor and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Purdue University School of Nursing, West Lafayette, IN. I have been a nurse for 35 years. I am an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP). I work mainly in teaching and research. My research is focused on developing and testing interventions that support and improve breastfeeding outcomes among vulnerable populations, specifically preterm infants and low-income mother/infant dyads using technology and digital health. I am the co-founder of LACTOR LLC, an interactive breastfeeding monitoring system that help breastfeeding mothers and connect them with lactation consultant.
