Bio

I graduated from Bergen Community College in 1986 with an Associates Degree in Nursing. I attended Dominican College for my BSN, Walden University for my MSN/Ed, and William Paterson University where I earned the DNP. My background includes mainly Adult-Medical/Surgical, Hospice, and Home Care. I hold a School Nursing/Health Educator certificate from Caldwell College. My career began in adult-med/surg, from which I transferred to pediatrics before working as a pediatric and adult home care nurse before putting my career on hold to raise a family. For the next 10 years, my husband and I would raise 2 beautiful children. During this time I had the opportunity to run a communications consulting agency with my husband (Stanhope Network Services, Inc. from 1997-2007) and substitute teach and school nurse at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels. After this time, I worked in acute care at local hospitals, Newton Medical Center and Morristown Medical Center, Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice ,The Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice, and other home hospice agencies. I teach nursing, mainly undergraduate community/public health, health assessment, fundamental clinical and lab, as well as a graduate population health and policy course. I recently transitioned from adjunct at various higher-education institutions to half-time faculty for William Paterson University.
