I spent 20 years as a school nurse and I witnessed subtle changes going on in schools with students and in teaching styles. Several years ago I invented a women's product and took a deep look into marketing and was appalled of the tricks that go into marketing products on the consumers.
As a former child with anxiety, I have a much empathy for students with anxiety and want to see more innovation past counseling and CBT as it isn't working efficiently and there are not enough practitioners available for the number of people seeking help.
I've got projects, one for an elementary level and one for a post puberty. I would love to connect with other nurses interested in decreasing anxiety in children.
