Kelly Bouthillet is a dual-boarded advanced practice nurse both as an acute care nurse practitioner and critical care clinical nurse specialist. She is an Assistant Professor at Georgia Southern University - Armstrong Campus and serves as the program coordinator, faculty and clinical supervisor for the adult-gerontology acute care NP program. She earned both her BSN and MSN at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from the post-master’s program at Saint Louis University as an acute care nurse practitioner. Kelly later earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Georgia College & State. Her background includes emergency and critical care, gerontology, pediatrics and neonatal nursing. She has practiced clinically for Hilton Head Regional Healthcare for 20 years. Areas of particular interest include quality and patient safety, advocacy in nursing/healthcare, work environments (culture), cardiac resuscitation and rapid response teams and partnering with EMS and community providers and improving access and delivery of care concerns.
