I am the Ambulatory Nursing Practice Lead for primary care and specialty clinics associated with a 350 bed academic medical center. I support nurse managers by connecting clinics to nursing resources, providing quality improvement support and assisting in applying nursing strategic planning.
I have been a nurse for over 20 years and have had a lot of fun with my career. I have worked with addiction treatment, infectious disease prevention, surgical patients, nursing education, program design, quality improvement and high altitude search and rescue.
I am passionate about ambulatory nursing practice and it’s growing importance in effectively supporting patient health and wellness. Although I enjoy all aspects of my job, my favorite part is connecting with people and improving care. It’s so exciting when interdisciplinary teams have a shared vision and work to solve challenges together. That’s where the real magic happens.
I have a Master’s in Nursing from University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Alaska, Anchorage. I have a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in Process Improvement and have studied Clinical Microsystems Improvement with The Dartmouth Institute.
Please feel free to contact me- I am always interested in connecting with colleagues and old friends.
