Dr. Cheryl Holden is currently an Assistant Professor at the Carolyn McKelvey Moore School of Nursing, University of Arkansas – Fort Smith. Dr. Holden currently serves as the Interim Executive Director - Master of Science in Healthcare Administration.
Dr. Holden holds a Doctorate of Health Sciences (DHSc) from A.T. Still University, a Masters in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Phoenix – Tulsa Campus and a Bachelor of Science (BSN) from the University of Oklahoma.
Prior to joining University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, Carolyn McKelvey Moore School of Nursing, Dr. Holden enjoyed a successful career with Mercy Health Systems where she held responsibility for Epic (Electronic Health Record) implementation for Nursing. Epic implementation for Mercy and its satellite hospitals, Paris, Ozark and Waldron was a multimillion dollar project which she considers one of her biggest accomplishments. “I was told by other Mercy Facilities and Senior Leadership that Mercy Fort Smith Epic Implementation was the smoothest”. Dr. Holden returned to the academic setting to continue her passion for continually seeking quality improvement and educating others to lead in healthcare.
